So, what exactly is creativity? Well, we're diving deep into this topic in our programs and memberships. As someone who's a stress management expert, Tai Chi instructor, and an artist, I have a personal passion for sharing how I overcame my own creative block.
Creativity isn't limited to the arts, it actually extends to all aspects of life. It's an incredibly valuable skill that ignites innovation and drives progress.
The overall goal is to start you on the journey of empower you to reclaim your creativity and regain your creative flow.
I have a vision of a community of people who are connected to their creative side. We are part of our network that gives support when needed so we do not have to stay stuck in the pit of creative block.
In our community we are happy, satisfied, confident, supported, inspired, and thriving because know how to stay connected to our creative side.
About/Artist Statement
Janice is an eclectic artist. She creates artwork using painting, photography, and pottery.
Creating art is fulfilling, she finds, when using these different mediums to express her ideas. This can energize or calm which then influences what concepts develop. It is a unique process as Janice never know, totally, how a piece will finally come together until it is finished.
She enjoys watercolour which is transparent and the light effects are phenomenal. Oil brings texture and a depth while Acrylic and Encaustic make layering fascinating. Photographs are ways Janice capture ideas that she may want to expand on or incorporate into a painting or pottery. They all work differently in improving her “artistic eye”. Janice started her own art business in 2019 and took back her personal power to do what she had always wanted to be - An Artist.
Janice successfully got herself out of artist block during the high stress in 2020. She used her knowledge about stress reduction, mindfulness, techniques to overcome the block. Realizing there might be more creative people also needing this information, Janice decided to put the information together in her course – “Empowering Your Creativity”© . When she came through the block, Janice also reconnected her old skill of writing and created her first poem since high school.
